Journal of Forensic Medicine, Medical Law and Ethics (JFM-MLE) 

Journal of Forensic Medicine, Medical Law and Ethics (JFM-MLE) is a publication with in-depth coverage of issues related to Forensic Science, Medical Law and Bio-Medical Ethics[1], especially with a focus on developing countries for a multi-disciplinary, international audience. It is a peer reviewed, international journal in English published twice each year.

The table of contents and abstracts of articles will be accessible free of charge through our web site and full-text articles will be available to authors and reviewers free. Individual articles can also be purchased for a fee. The Journal in print form will be available to paid subscribers and through retail bookstores and Internet based journal orders worldwide. The journal does not aim to make a profit but would solicit a limited number of advertisements to sustain financially.

 Aims and Scope  

·        to promote research and information dissemination related to developments in forensic science, medical law and bio-medical ethics

·        to influence states to adopt evidence based policies related to medical law and bio-medical ethics

·        to inspire new thinking and action in the fields of forensic science, medical law and bio-medical ethics

·        to provide a forum especially to authors from developing countries to publish their work to an international audience.

·        Practitioners of forensic science including forensic pathologists, forensic toxicologists, police surgeons, judicial medical officers, medical examiners, coroners, criminologists, crime scene investigators, forensic analysts, teachers in the field

·        Health policy makers, public health professionals, malpractice lawyers, ministries and health departments,

·        Bio-medical ethics specialists, doctors, philosophers

·        National and international professional associations, international agencies and donors,

·        NGOs and other civil society organizations focusing on health policy, human rights

·        Social science and biomedical researchers and scientists, academics and their students in philosophy, law, medicine and biological sciences

[1] These three subject specialties are often grouped together in the British tradition of medical education. E.g. medical ethics and medical law are often taught in the forensic medicine curriculum.
