Submission
of Manuscripts A
covering letter and the manuscript should be submitted separately. The signed
cover letter should be scanned and emailed (zeilan.press@gmail.com)
as a .pdf file together with the manuscript in the form of a .doc file. The
original hard copy should be mailed to, Editor,
Forensic Medicine, Medical Law and Ethics, 80 Bourne Street, Auburndale,
Newton, MA 02466. Covering
letter The
author should sign the cover letter. In the case of many co-authors, a single
covering letter signed by all co-authors is preferable. However, a copy sent by
each co-author separately if it is difficult to arrange all signatures in one
letter, is acceptable. It should mention that the manuscript is the work of the
author. In joint work, it should state that it is the work of all co-authors and
approved by all authors and name the corresponding author. Authors are
responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material in their
papers, if relevant. Manuscript: The
manuscript should conform to the following format Title
page This
should start with the title of paper in about 8-10 words. The names of all
co-authors should be given in the desired order for publication. The
corresponding author’s and all co-author’s – name, position, institution,
postal address, phone, fax and e-mail should be stated. The corresponding author
may nominate two or three possible peer reviewers from his or her own country
together with details such as the expertise in the subject area of the paper -
name, institution/organization, country and e-mail address. Abstract
(Approx 200 words) The
abstract should be a condensed version of the paper and consist of a background
statement, main subject, the most important findings, actions, events or points
made and conclusions or recommendations. Keywords
Please
list up to five keywords Detailed
paper Text
should be in Standard English, single-spaced, left aligned. Please do not indent
or tab the first lines of paragraphs or quotes. A blank line should be left
between paragraphs. Headings and subheadings may be used to break up text to
clearly identify contents. As in any scientific or legal writing, please avoid
the use of acronyms, jargon, obscure and discriminatory language, long or
complex sentence construction or very long paragraphs. Use the standard practices used in scientific and legal journals related to the numbering and naming of tables, figures, acknowledgements, references and footnotes. |
